IB Bluitgen Denmark Sterling Silver 925 Vintage Denmark Scandinavian hammered style concave modernist ring with applied hand holding flame. US ring size 7.5 Marked Denmark IB 925 Ib Bluitgen trained as a silversmith at the Georg Jensen Silversmithy and furthered his studies at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Sculpture from 1945 to 1948. He returned to Georg Jensen Silversmithy design department from 1948 to 1962, becoming head of that department in 1950.

Bluitgen opened his own studio in 1961 and was one of the founders of the Danish Crafts Council and an active member in the group, Danish Silversmiths, and his work was exhibited throughout Europe and North America.
