This spectacular pair of Art Deco era cufflinks feature six alternating panels of 18K rose and white gold, each deeply embossed with a wave texture. An 18k rose gold fastener joins the 13.14 mm x 8.46 mm faces of each cufflink to a branch of natural ox-blood red Mediterranean branch coral. Each branch of coral is drilled with a hole in the center, through which gold wire is treaded.
A bead at the end of the wire keeps the coral branches safe and secure. One coral branch measures approximately 13.74 mm and the other 15.71 mm. These are spectacularly posh cufflinks and the slender coral branch will slip through many different sizes of buttonholes making these one-of-a-kind art deco cufflinks perfectly unisex.
The cufflinks are in excellent condition. The coral is so fine, I at first thought they were simulated coral; glass or bakelite. And that's the funny thing about very fine quality gems: they often look fake.
But the coral is as real as it comes and both branches are highly polished and without nicks or chips. Distinctive without being outlandish, classy without being boring, these two-tone gold and coral cufflinks are a real find. Each cufflinks has a metal purity stamp of "750" on the gold connector that joins the panel with the branch.
I could find no evidence of a maker's mark. The workmanship is first-rate and I would not be surprised if these cufflinks were Italian in origin. Together the pair weighs 5.45 grams so they won't bang against your desk.,This spectacular pair of Art Deco era cufflinks feature six alternating panels of 18K rose and
